ABN AMRO 2008/09 Summer Intern Programme, Australia
Applications are now open for Summer Intern positions to join ABN AMRO’s Investment Banking Group in Sydney and Melbourne. The Programme will take place during the summer holiday period from December 2008 – February 2009. On this programme you will develop your analytical and advisory skills by working across various client segments in one of our dedicated specialist sector teams in either Mergers & Acquisitions or Equity Capital Markets.
Interns will have the chance to:
- conduct financial analysis, including detailed valuation modelling
- assist in the preparation of prospectuses, investment statements and other offer documents
- generate ideas and prepare presentations for new projects
- be involved with a wide variety of challenging and dynamic tasks

Summer Intern Program
The Summer Intern Program at ANZ is a great way to explore a career with us, and gain invaluable experience in the corporate world whilst getting paid. This eight week Program aims to provide undergraduates with practical “real life” work experience. Upon completion of the Program you will receive a performance review and you may be rewarded with an early graduate offer for 2010.
You will need to be available to attend assessment centres and interviews in September for Intern Program roles. You will also need to be available to work for eight weeks from 1 December to 13 February (with two weeks break over Christmas).
Roles are available in Accounting & Finance, Operations, Technology and Institutional Division, all in Melbourne.
Industry Based Learning Program
The Industry Based Learning (IBL) Program at ANZ is a great way to explore a career with us, and gain invaluable experience in the corporate world whilst getting paid. This 12 month Program aims to provide undergraduates with practical “real life” work experience. Upon completion of the Program you will receive a performance review and you may be rewarded with an early graduate offer for 2011, or you may even want to work part time in 2010 as you complete your studies.
You will need to be available to attend an assessment centre and interview in September 2008. If successful, you will begin in early 2009.
Roles are available in Technology in Melbourne.

Commonwealth Bank 2008/09 Summer Program
Our Summer Program offers you the opportunity to gain invaluable work experience in the financial services industry. In addition to a competitive salary over the 10 week period, you’ll receive on-the-job learning by working closely with your manager and team.
