Do you want to meet leading investment bankers from the No. 1 House in Australia?
Do you have what it takes to work on a real M&A transaction?
The 2010 UBS Investment Banking Challenge will be run at seven leading campuses for the study of finance in Australia; The Universities of Adelaide, Melbourne, Monash, New South Wales, Queensland, Sydney and Western Australia.
The Challenge offers students an invaluable opportunity:
- To gain hands-on experience of working as an analyst in an Investment Bank
- To win an internship interview with UBS, the market leader in investment banking in the Australian market
- To win a generous cash prize!
Participating teams are provided with a case study, developed by UBS bankers and based on a real M&A transaction. Later that week, they will be invited to present to a panel of judges for 15-minutes and answer questions typical of those posed to a junior analyst at UBS.
Four teams will be selected at each campus to participate in the Campus Final, and the winning team at each campus will compete in the National Final, to be held at our offices in Sydney. As well as presenting, finalists will be invited to spend a morning with UBS to learn more about careers in Investment Banking (and also ask for some advice ahead of the competition!).
All National Finalists will be invited to interview for a Summer Internship at UBS.
The following cash prizes are applicable for the National Final winners:
1st place - $5,000
2nd place - $2,500
3rd place - $1,500
