The Graduate Program

Our graduate program starts with an intensive introduction to the firm, our products, instruments and services, and the wider financial markets. You’ll gain more than a theoretical understanding, however, with a variety of case studies, workshops and presentations giving you invaluable practical knowledge and skills. You can also expect comprehensive role-specific training, plus soft skills development.

Placement

Analysts are hired and placed directly with a specific team throughout Asia.  Placement is determined during the hiring process matching the business needs and the interests/skills of the Analyst. Responsibilities(vary with placement)

Research Analysts will work closely with the team and some of the tasks include modeling/analysis, conducting primary research, attend internal/external client meetings. Some responsibilities are conducted regularly (daily, weekly, etc.) while others are longer-term, ad hoc projects over months.
 
Qualifications:

Education

  • Final year undergraduate/master student, graduating in 2011
  • On track to receive a minimum GPA 3.5/4 or minimum 2:1 degree (UK system)
  • Outstanding academic achievement
Experience

Training:
 
Full-time Analysts are hired upon completion of their undergraduate/master’s degree.  Your career as an Analyst will begin with a formal training program which takes place in New York for all Analysts globally, and is considered one of the best in the industry.  Instruction is provided by Bank of America professionals and leading business school professors.
 
The training program includes:
  • A firm wide orientation program to introduce you to Bank of America
  • An overview of the financial markets and essential business skills
  • An intensive training program customized for Analysts that prepares you for your placement in Research by simulating actual work assignments, covering quantitative fundamentals, and preparing you for life as an Analyst.
After the formal training program, Analysts relocate to the Asia Pacific office that hired them and begin working.  Training continues on the job and through the online learning network for continuing education as well as relevant classroom training throughout your career.
