Macquarie’s Summer Vacation Program provides an opportunity for students to work full-time over the summer break between years of university study. Students join various teams within Macquarie’s business groups, typically between December and February. 

Throughout this time you will benefit from hands-on experience, exposure to the financial services sector and an insight into the career opportunities offered at Macquarie. The Summer Vacation program provides and ideal opportunity to demonstrate your potential and gives you a significant advantage when applying for graduate opportunities. 

Opportunities at Macquarie are many and varied. When you apply online you will be asked to select business group preferences. Before submitting your application we strongly advise you to research the business area(s) that you are applying to. 

For the 2010/2011 Summer Vacation Program opportunities are available in the following groups: 

Business Groups / Divisions:

·    Corporate and Asset Finance (CAF)

·    Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC)

·    Macquarie Capital (MacCap)

·    Macquarie Funds Group (MFG)

·    Macquarie Securities Group (MSG)

·    Corporate Affairs Group (CAG)

·    Information Technology Group (ITG)

·    Risk Management Group (RMG)

Note: The majority of our Summer Vacation positions will be based in our Sydney office. On the rare occasion there may be an opportunity one of our interstate offices, but we ask students who are applying for the Summer Vacation Program to be aware that if successful they will most probably spend the time in the Sydney office. Applications for the Macquarie Capital Melbourne Summer Vacation Program have already closed.
